Black chick pea wrinkled skin is cultivated in Puglia (Italy) where it was been well adapted to the characteristics of Murgia on the border between Puglia and Basilicata (Italy). The black chickpea has a different flavor and shape than the common chick pea, it is much smaller with its wrinkled and black skin, very tasty and rich in fiber (three times more than a common chickpea) and iron.


HOW TO PREPARE CHICK PEA:

Keep soaking the desired amount of legumes, about 10-12 hours.

Cook slowly in a pot, carefully covering legumes with water.

Add according to your taste: salt and flavors (onion, garlic, celery, etc.).

Wait for your favorite cooking point.


HOW TO EAT THE CHICK PEA:

Chick peas are recommended for every age.

Serve alone in a plate by adding a string of extra virgin olive oil made in Italy, accompaign with bread of Altamura.
