The Danish guitarist Jacob Bro<\/strong>, former collaborator of Paul Bley, Chris Cheek, Andrew D’Angelo, Bill Frisell, George Garzone, Lee Konitz, Paul Motian, Oscar Noriega, Kurt Rosenwinkel, Chris Speed, Ben Street, Mark Turner, David Virelles , and Kenny Wheeler continues to perfect his trio project with his strengths on melody, sound, space, texture stratifications and interaction.<\/p>\n

The partnership between Bro and Thomas Morgan<\/strong> (Bro calls it “my musical companion”) has become something extraordinary, and often the guitarist and the bassist develop improvised ideas in parallel.<\/p>\n

There is also a historical wealth in Joey Baron<\/strong>‘s choice as a new band drummer, because Bro met Morgan when the bass player was playing in the Baron band a decade ago … Joey Baron plunges into the detail of music with obvious pleasure.<\/p>\n

Jakob Bro Trio<\/strong>‘s approach to melody recognizes Motian’s influence, and both Bro and Morgan have played in his latest ensembles.<\/p>\n
