It was founded in 1923, in the past it has worked as a government consultant about research and as a funding fund for university research grants.<\/p>\n<p>Since 1989 the CNR is a research organization. CNR pursues the missions of: carrying out <strong>research projects<\/strong>, promoting national industrial system <strong>innovation<\/strong> and <strong>competitiveness<\/strong>, promoting <strong>national<\/strong> <strong>research system internationalization<\/strong>, contributing to implement <strong>technologies<\/strong> and <strong>solutions<\/strong> in accord with <strong>needs<\/strong> in the public and private sectors.<\/p>\n<p>All these objectives are achieved through over 8000 employees human resources, half of which is represented by researchers and technologists. About 4,000 young researchers are involved in post-doctoral research activities into the CNR laboratories. An important contribution comes from collaborations, including international ones, with universities and companies researchers.<\/p>\n<p>The CNR&#8217;s Press Office summarize scientific relevance and &#8216;journalistic&#8217; news, it enhances the information acquired by Offices, Departments and Institutes. In addition to the press releases spreading, the Office creates the <strong>Almanacco della Scienza web magazine<\/strong>, co-organizes press conferences and dissemination and scientific communication events, and collaborates in various publishing initiatives.<\/p>\n<p>The press review is built also thanking to external service.
